Anyway, the issue with tournaments in the next couple of months is that all the spring breaks are staggered, so it's impossible to find a good date for any more local tourname...

Re: List Places You'd Like to See ICT 2010

Speaking of the Caltrain, which stop is the one for the San Francisco Airport? Well technically Millbrae, where you hop on the next BART train to San Bruno and then transfer to the BART line that will get you to SFO (it seems complicated, but it isn't really). Or of course you *could* walk almost a...

Re: List Places You'd Like to See ICT 2010

I'm not sure a Stanford/Berkeley ICT is in fact a great idea; it is my impression that the Los Angeles ICT in 2003 generated substantial complaint from midwestern and east coast teams. Well I wasnt on the circuit in 2003, but perhaps it was due to the fact that you had to drive in LA, regardless of...

Re: Southern California 2007-08

seeing that we're discussing AL, I'm curious how well having Freshman, JV, and Varsity divisions work with regard to developing younger players. We certainly felt that you were the team to beat that year. It seemed like we were destined to lose until Coach Madsen pulled your starters with ~4 minutes left, at which point we answered something like 6 tossups in a row to give us an opportunity to win (after which he reinstated the starters, bu...

What I'm most curious to see next year is RB, esp. with 3 strong seniors gone. Now RB generally produces some great teams (although even this year's amazing one couldn't defeat San Mon), but I don't know how good next year's A team will compare to this year's A team. Re: (Correct) Answers that made you hang your head in shame.

What on earth do you practice on, trash tournaments? Balance of academic and TRASH. Even if you didn't practice TRASH though, most likely someone's answer here would be a trash question in an academic/all-around set (and ya, there are some pretty trashy NAQT questions). No one is gonna say that ans...

As to my honest assessment for Fallbrook in NAQT: Fallbrook will be facing an uphill battle to defeat the best SoCal NAQT teams of the present time (San Mon., Torrey, RB, Arcadia). Now in terms of NCAL (as I am currently looking up the website), Fallbrook is definitely doing pretty well in NCAL's No...
