Re: Longhorn Invitational Tournament Individual Questions

The Tyrean purple dye tossup used "this object" as an indicator, which frustrated me, as it dissuaded me from buzzing in an area where I have a fair amount of knowledge just by virtue of having a misleading indicator, even though I knew the clues that were being read. 9. According to Suet...

Re: 2019 Fall Open Errata

Not necessarily an error, but the Incan road bonus in packet 9 doesn’t accept Quechua names such as Qhapaq Nañ. Not sure what the word for bridges is, but the first part should have a Quechua alternate answer as well.

Re: 2019 Fall Open Specific Question Discussion

Just two things off the top of my head: 1. The Troubles are universally acknowledged to have started in the 1960s, so that giveaway should probably be changed to say "the first full decade of the troubles". 2. The "Three Days in the River" part in the Sikhism bonus doesn't really...

There are obviously exceptions ...

Re: Player Poll 2019

Here to shout out some teammates, both current and former. Playing next to Ryan Humphrey for science, visual arts, and thought is a huge relief at higher difficulties. Having a team with three freshmen has its downsides, and we're just beginning to see all of the wacky places nationals-level answerl...

It was mentioned in NASAT, but also in NHBB last year in a recorded game, although I'm not sure how many people watch those.

Re: 2019 PIANO/MO Specific Question Discussion

Can I see the East Germany TU? I felt like the coffee crisis stuff was a bit early, as it came up in this past year's NASAT.

Re: 2019 PIANO/MO Errata

I think there was a bonus that mentioned the 1897's World Fair and the answer was Chicago; clearly, that should be 1893. Also, this is a more subjective take, but I felt that the bonus with Neruda had no real easy part.
