Right now Mountain Brook is in the process of falling apart...I think when the current coach finally leaves (shes in way over her head...not familiar with SB at all...really imho she is holding the team back if thats possible) and the team gets a sponsor with some experience or substantial ambition....

Mountain Brook will be struggling but there is some serious talent hidden in that team...I know it...just find a coach who can bring ou the agressiveness. (I think we are looking for a new coach...you know...5 or 6th time in as many years...pretty crazy but the kids care enough to keep finding new c...

As of the last time I talked to my teacher (2wks ago) she had not been able to get the Snead State coordinators to return any of her emails or phone calls. Hopefully she got us line up...otherwise, maybe we will see you at NAQT State and our underclassmen might go to the BM Fun Tourney if its still ...

Well its looking quite likely that we won't play another match as a team this year. Sad to say it but I think it might be inevitable. I will do my best to get together and possibly drill a team for NAQT state but we are already probably short some of our best players so I would have to pull up and p...

What Grissom does is tremendous and I honestly think that given a proper program Mountain Brook, Vestavia, and possibly JCIB should be able to replicate the same kind of success. I don't know the current state of SB at our Junior High but I think its not anywhere near what it was when it was creatin...

Okay, as the only Grissom poster here, I'll answer your questions. I'm not particularly sure why we don't go to tournamnets other than ASCA very often. I honsetly can't think of a good reason. The only thing I can come up with is that I don't think we care as much as most of you guys, and that's so...

I assume since your not over it that it was Grissom that cameback on yall. Unfortunatly, other than our full video of the state competition about 4 years ago, I have no knowledge at all of Grissom because they won't go anywhere. Lee, you know of any good NAQT tourney coming up. Preferably less than ...

I'm not implying any kind of problem with ISS. Mr. Cooper is pretty intense but he actually came, sought us out, and complimented us bigtime on our match against them at districts (a compliment I'm quite proud of) and more or less implied he was hoping for a rematch at regionals...sorry to dissapoin...

Yikes. Some fine teams there. Two advance...that doesn't make much sense that CCA, Cullman, Grissom, Buckhorn, Brindlee, etc have to compete with each other like that. What infuriates me the most is that I think we could easily come in third in our regional had we advanced. We just tanked it in the ...

Dadgum it, Hobo...I'm still bitter over that '03 ASFA Tournament win. Why do you have to taunt me so? Which team were you. I technically didn't attend that match because our High School is only 10-12, but I've heard stories. That was the same year they blitzed the Russelville tournament too....

I can only theorize as to why but its a definite that QB teams can be very streaky, and its not just a coincidence of questions, its just a transition of mindsets. For an example between the two of us, take our Buckhorn match. Andy torched us singlehandedly in the first round, then got like 7 of 10 ...

Yeah. I was one giant mental brick wall from that one...I knew it just completely lost my mind. Then sat there freaking out trying to figure out why my team wasn't buzzing, much the less, why your team missed it. It seemed almost too easy. As far as Apgar test, my father is a neonatologist. You prob...

Since I've done more coaching for my team than my coach has this year I'll drop a dime or two... 1. We do practice, but its informal due to conflicts and lack of dedication of members. 2. As far as outside work, none of it. The dedication hasn't been there since our players were sophmores. It wasn't...

Not a bad tourney but I can't say I could agree at all with a number of oddities regarding how the tourney was run. Primarily the favoritism displayed to the Brindlee Mountain team. A few other smaller things too, but that was the primary problem. (others teams I talked too said they experienced sim...
