All of that draws the tournament out even longer. If you won't drop the bonuses altogether, maybe you could at least consider dropping the third bonus question? I'm not running this tournament, but as an editor for RAFT II, this definitely isn't a possibility. Our bonuses are super intentionally cr...

Karan Gurazada and I are super excited to announce that on January 19, 2020, we will be running a HS Discord Open mirror of EFT. EFT is a "medium-difficulty college tournament designed to serve as an introduction to college quizbowl", and will provide excellent practice to those individual...

I generally really enjoyed this set, and it was an awesome first experience in college quiz bowl. That said, I have a few specific comments. The iodine tossup's powermark seemed to go way too late. I think Arin is an amazing player, but a team based on one player's performance can go downhill swiftly in the case of even one bad packet. I think Hunter A, who has several incredible players (specialists?), has a better chance of winning on an IS set, as 2/4 of their A team was on the team that wo...

Also, I'm just wondering how you only had 5 negs despite having 44 powers on a hard set. In fact, they have not played a single NY team all year. I'm confused by your reasoning here. They're much more a part of the MA circuit then they are a part of ours. In my opinion, powers per game is so viable because it shifts. If you're playing a close game, but proceed to power 8 times, it reflects on both you and your opponent's skill.
