Welcome to the homepage of Quizbowl at VCU.

If you are interested in joining the quizbowl program here, then you should mail Matt Weiner at weinerm@vcu.edu or just show up to a practice (see schedule).

Any VCU student regardless of class level or prior experience/skill with quizbowl is welcome to join the team. Practices are open to everybody including non-VCU people.

Summer 2008 practices are currently in progress. See the practice Schedule for details.

We will be hosting two summer open tournaments, the VCU Open and VCU Novice on August 16 and 17.

Basic 2008-2009 tournament attendance/hosting schedule:

Early Fall Tournament will be held somewhere on October 4.

ACF Fall will be held somewhere on November 8.

We will be hosting a high school tournament on November 15.

ACF Winter will be held somewhere on January 17.

Maryland’s tournament will be held on January 31.

NAQT Sectionals will be held somewhere on February 7.

ACF Regionals will be held somewhere on February 28.

NAQT ICT will be held somewhere on April 3-4.

We will be hosting a high school tournament on April 19.

ACF Nationals will be held somewhere on April 26-27.

More collegiate tournaments to attend, as well as the specific locations of the tournaments listed above, will be announced in the next few weeks.
