NAQT Virginia Tournament - April 16 Charlottesville
NAQT Virginia Tournament - April 16 Charlottesville
The University of Virginia will be hosting the NAQT Virginia tournament this year in sunny Charlottesville, VA, on Saturday, April 16.
Registration is now open! Please mail/e-mail in the registration form as soon as possible (and by April 7 to receive the early registration discount).
All high schools in Virginia (public, magnet, private) are encouraged to participate; there will be championships for small schools (less than 750 student in 10-12 grades) and first-time NAQT schools. We will try our best to accomodate as many teams as we can.
The format will consist of untimed rounds of twenty toss-ups with non-related bonuses using NAQT question set IS-51. Each team is guaranteed at least seven rounds of play, but most teams will be playing additional playoff games. The teams that perform best will qualify for the NAQT High School National Championship in Chicago, IL (June 3-5).
A free breakfast will be provided during check-in (between 9:00 and 9:30), after which opening ceremonies will take place in Wilson Hall 402 (adjacent to Cabell Hall). For lunch, you may eat on-Grounds, at one of the nearby “Cornerâ€
