As previously stated, Michigan currently plans to attend this site, and I'm confident we can pull together 2 teams. Perhaps more; update will come after our first meeting(s).

Field is updated. Also, we're short on staff at the moment. Worst case scenario, some of the CMU house team will staff, but I would prefer not having to do that. If anyone can bring a moderator(s), please let me know. In addition, if you are bringing teams with more than four players and are willing to have whoever is sitting out for each round staff that round, we would be happy to give you the discount for that too.

Cool. Please let me know as soon as possible, though; while changing the schedule isn't hard, figuring out staff will be.

Well by probably I mean 99% chance barring freak snowstorm, and by interested I mean "is going".

So, yea, mark us down.

Alright, this should be our final field:
Michigan (2)
Shady Side (1)
Pitt (3)
Miami OH (3)
Case Western (1)
Ike Jose (1)
Ohio State (2)
Cornell (2)
Notre Dame (2)
Swarthmore (2)

We ended up cutting the house team due to staff shortages, which also means that we are sitting good for staff. We have nineteen teams; the planned format will be to bracket into 10/9, run a round robin, rebracket into 10/9, and play the crossbracket games. This gives us a total of 9+5=14 rounds, plus up to 2 for an advantaged final.

Hey so due to the disapearance of many Cornell freshman, we'll only send one team to this tournament.

Michigan A defeated Ike Jose playing solo in a one game final to win the tournament. Cornell finished third, with Swarthmore A, Pitt B, and Ohio State A rounding out the top bracket.

Top scorers were:
1. Ike Jose from Ike Jose
2. Josh Sokol from Swarthmore
3. Mike Davies from Pitt
4. Andy Kravis from Michigan

Full stats can be found here:
http://www.andrew.cmu.edu/org/college-b ... dings.html

My thanks for teams sticking with us as we were forced to modify the schedule and remove two rounds due to moderator snafus, and especial thanks to Arjun from Cornell for filling in for one round while we were temporarily down a moderator.

Reverse kudos go to Pitt C, who in an amazing example of Eric Douglass's Law of Teams Leaving Early left before the playoffs despite having to travel a grand total of three blocks.

Thanks to everyone at CMU for a very good tournament. This was a very fun set to play, and the tournament was run well. A couple rooms ran a bit slow after lunch, but that didn't detract from my enjoyment of the set. Well done.

Ike: Very impressive. You played very well, and we were really lucky we got to play you a third time.

Yeah, I was very unlucky I got to play you a third time. It was tons of fun though. The questions were very good with a few bad ones interspersed in a sea of good ones, and I enjoyed the heck out of this set.

I love Rob Carson as editor - if you catch my drift.

QFT

Everyone on my end had a great time, and the mods were all very good. I'd say that it was worth the trip (the drive was easily the worst part). Thank you for running such a fine tournament
