Anyone know how to make infoboxes work? That would take us to a whole new level of professional presentation.

Essentially you want to use Templates. Check out the source on Wikipedia for some simple info box templates for how to do it. You might need to be an administrator to make these templates, though.

It'd probably be a good idea to make different templates for people, clubs, tournaments, etc.

Ideally, you could just copy any code or formatting you want wholesale from Wikipedia itself since the qbwiki now runs on the same software. This may not work for any number of reasons, none of which I am qualified to figure out, but it's worth a shot.

Weird. I just tried creating a page and had no problems. Is this still happening?

I think the basics for how a team, player, or tournament page should look have been hashed out, so the best way to start adding content to the wiki would be for everyone to go make their own page, add the appropriate infobox, and leave it to someone more neutral to write the text. Make sure you do the formatting and linking correctly.

I believe I fixed the database problem with the old wiki, if people want to start porting articles from it (mostly into the humor tab, once thats working, I'm guessing.)

The qbwiki appears to be down right now. Was this a pre-announced downtime that I missed the announcement for (or other reason that Mike is aware of and I'm not), is it just that the UCI wireless server has decided to block the site, or is there something wrong with the wiki? I can access the quizbowl cast but not the qbwiki.

I can't log in because my screenname, RJaguar3, has a capital letter, and the text field for my username keeps changing the name to lowercase in Firefox. Can someone help me?
