Re: Gimmicky Tossups
I played in a tournament at Virginia Tech a few years ago where we had a packet of "Before and After" questions, like the category on Wheel of Fortune
For example: Straight Outta Compton Scattering, The Beverly Hill-Billy Joe Armstrong, Bruce Wayne Brady, etc
The idea is that you write the questions with clues for one topic in one sentence, and the other topic in the next, alternating
I will try and find that packet

Re: Gimmicky Tossups
I moderated a pack recently where you had to "act out" the answerlines. It was largely fine (obviously this was a for-fun tournament) except for once or twice when the action seemed to be uncomfortable or even unsafe. This was also only for half the TUs. Gimmicky is fine I suppose but it may screw with players who aren't particularly good with the "Gimmick".
