Also, it looks like pretty much everyone is good with starting on the 19th, so start on the 19th we shall. If anyone isn't available, just PM me, since March 26 (coincidentally also my birthday) looks like it would also work for everyone who's responded to the poll.

Is there a reason we can't do it all on 3/19? It's just tossups so it shouldn't take all that long. If we break this into a bunch of sessions we'll probably add 30 minutes to an hour each time trying to make sure everyone is there / dealing with connectivity issues.

If the readers are comfortable with reading 12 packets in one day, sure.

Here's a poll as to when to start; all dates are for start date; the further rounds will be held one week subsequently, 2 weeks subsequently, and 3 weeks subsequently.
I take this to mean that you've decided to do three packets a night -- would it be possible to do four packets a night for three nights instead (your original proposal), since it seems the schedule is pretty filled up in April? Additionally, since the packets are tossups-only, it should be possible to get through them fairly quickly.
In general, the plan was to do however many packets one can get through in two hours. If that's 4, great. 3 is just a conservative estimate.
Ah, makes sense. I think one should be able to get through 4, but you never know.

Any chance the Playoff stats from the Michigan site will get posted soon?

I endorse this suggestion.

I'd be willing to read 12 packets in one day -- especially since it's tossups only. I don't speak for the other readers though.

Looks like it's pretty much set that we're playing all 12 packets on the 19th.

Can I make a quick plea for exactly two more people to sign up for this either as a team or as free agents? That way free agents can be arranged such that we'd have six teams of two.

Hey Paul Kasinski and myself (a former free agent) are now a team for the Skype Mirror.

What time do you expect to begin on Sunday?
Thanks!

I'd have to talk it over with the readers.
This somewhat remedies our odd number of teams, so thanks!

OK. We have a nice, even 6 teams of 2 each now, so I'm locking the field. Also, matches will start at 4 CST to allow for a maximum of 1/2 hour per packet (and allowing for skype issues), while not keeping our Eastern-time friends up past 11 or so.
Also also, we need 2 more readers. If anyone knows someone who can do it/can do it themselves, just PM me or Conor. We'll pay you money.
EDIT: Now 0 more readers. Thank you to Sameer Apte and Tracy Mirkin.

OK I made a discord server (FrenchSkype) to coordinate stuff. If you're playing, you should probably get on it around 3:30 CST (4:30 Eastern)

This link doesn't seem to take me anywhere. I might suggest using a program people are more familiar with such as IRC or Slack to do this.

To expand on this, the team of Jakob Myers and Matthew Lehmann cleared the field by two games and won.

Edit: also, I am collecting the entry fees for the tournament, so if you haven't already, please venmo me ten dollars. My venmo username is the same as my forums username.
