The Cornell University quizbowl team is pleased to announce our mirror of Harvard Fall Tournament XI, which will take place on October 15, 2015.
The tournament will (most likely) take place in Rockefeller Hall (231 East Ave, Ithaca NY). Further information about starting time, etc. will be posted closer to the tournament. We have a field cap of 24 teams, though this may be subject to change depending on room availability and the number of outside staffers. Provided we meet our quota, there will be four prelim brackets of six teams, followed by three playoff brackets of eight teams and six playoff games (no team will play the same team twice). There will be an ACF-style final (a team must have cleared the playoff bracket by two or more games to win outright).
Registration:
You can register for this tournament by emailing [email protected] with the number of teams that will be attending, number of working buzzer systems and staffers, and a phone number for us to contact on the day of the tournament.
Question Set:
We will be mirroring HFT XI, a housewritten set by the members of Harvard University comparable in difficulty to NAQT IS sets. The distribution is as follows:
4/4 Literature (1/1 American, 1/1 European, 1/1 British, 1/1 World/Ancient/Misc)
4/4 Science (1/1 Biology, 1/1 Chemistry, 1/1 Physics, 1/1 Math/CS/Earth Science/Astro/Other)
4/4 History (1/1 American, 1/1 World, 2/2 European/British/Ancient)

1/1 Social Science / Philosophy
1/1 Religion
1/1 Mythology
1/1 Geography/Modern World
1/1 Popular Culture
More information on this set can be found here.
Fee Structure:
$65 for the first team, $60 for each additional team
-$5 for each working buzzer system, no limit
-$10 for each moderator, no limit
If you have any questions about this tournament, please contact [email protected] or post below.
We look forward to seeing you all in October!

I'll let Cornell give the full details, but they notified me about a week before the tournament that they had to cancel because of a short field.AKKOLADE wrote:Did this happen?
