There is no team limit until further notice. Registrations shall be confirmed with a reply email. Replying to this thread will not register a team. The registration fee may be paid on-site with either cash or check. Please make all checks payable to Westview Quizbowl.

Note to schools participating the San Diego City Academic League: Since this set is used in the San Diego City Academic League, schools participating in that event are prohibited to come to this tournament unless they forfeit their right to participate in the San Diego City Academic League.

PRICING:
Any teams that did not play a tournament in the 2015-2016 season will pay an unconditional $20 per team.

Base fee: $65 per team of 4 or less, $75 per team of 5 or 6, teams of more than 6 are no longer accepted

DISCOUNTS:
- $20 per school that successfully introduces Quiz Bowl to another school
- $10 per working buzzer system (must accommodate at least eight players)
- $10 per experienced moderator
- $5 per 50 miles traveled one-way per school

Minimum fee: $40 a team

TOURNAMENT FORMAT: The tournament will use the NAQT MS-19 set and shall adhere to official NAQT rules, with the exception that matches shall be run as untimed halves of ten questions each. In addition, ACF rules will be followed regarding timing and tiebreakers. A preliminary round robin in the morning shall be followed by round robin playoffs in the afternoon based on win-loss records. Ties shall be resolved on the basis of points per bonus within brackets, and ties crossing different brackets shall be resolved on the basis of points per game.

The tournament will use the NAQT MS-19 set, meaning the top 15% will qualify for MSNCT.

Food options are within a comfortable 5-10 minute walking distance and include places such as Cotijas, Rubio’s, Subway, Pick Up Stix, Luna Grill, Peet’s Coffee & Tea, etc.
