Triton Novice Tournament V [10/22/16]

The UCSD quizbowl team will host our fifth Triton Novice Tournament, to be held at UCSD on Saturday, October 22th, 2016.

This novice tournament is an excellent way for new players and teams to get introduced to quizbowl, since the questions are geared specifically for newer players and eligibility is restricted to less-experienced teams.

Eligibility Restrictions:
Players must have had no more than two years of experience, been to a nationals, or been on a team that has won two regular season tournaments at either JV or Varsity level. Email us at [email protected] if you have questions about this.

Fees and Discounts:
$50 per team (teams consist of up to 6 players, with any 4 playing at one time)
-$10 per competent moderator provided
-$5 for each functional buzzer set provided

OR $20 flat fee per team for schools that did not play during the 15-16 academic year

Minimum Fees:
$30 for each regular team
$20 for each new-school team

We are implementing a soft field cap of 20 teams until we can confirm more rooms and staffers. Schools will be limited to registering one team each. Any additional teams they want to register will go onto a wait list.
