Missouri Open @ Berkeley (Dec 5)

Berkeley will be hosting a mirror of Missouri Open on Sat, Dec 5. We will have registration at 9AM and plan to start at 9:30AM (room/building TBD). We will have a field cap of 12 teams.

Entry Fee info:
$120 base fee per team ($30 per person)
-$10 per working buzzer
-$20 per experienced moderator
-$15 per 75 miles traveled one-way per team (to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis)
-$10 per team that is composed entirely of players from a single school

As the tournament’s name suggests, this tournament will be open-eligibility. We strongly encourage participation by veterans and strong high school players in this tournament. However, a discount is provided for teams who choose to compete consisting entirely of players from a single school. This discounted single-school fee will apply to both collegiate teams and high school teams.

The UC Berkeley Quiz Bowl Club is a student group acting independently of the University of California. The student organization is the host of the Missouri Open mirror and takes full responsibility for the guests.

I'd venture to say that UC Davis is interested, but it's the Saturday before our finals week, so I can't promise a full team. I'll start talking to everyone now to see if they can commit.
