New College Contact List

It is my understanding that the NAQT Entering Freshman Contact List is basically no more. As such I have taken the liberty of creating a means to maintain contact between teams and to make it easy to get people in touch with teams at their schools. If you have a team, please fill in this spreadsheet.

It would probably be wise to either merge this list with Eliza Grames' earlier project or otherwise make sure there aren't discrepancies between the two by beginning with the large amount of data found there.

It would be a cool thing if hsquizbowl could keep a publicly-updatable, always-available list like this in a more permanent place outside the forums, such as the main page. Given that the leadership of many college clubs turns over once a year, it's important to make sure that it gets updated at minimum every summer.

I am adding the relevant data from Eliza's list now and hope that once I have this filled in teams can update/add their own information. This is publicly editable, so any member of the community can add their information if they take over an existing team, or create their own.

Ultimately the goal of the Quizbowl Resource Center Database is to maintain a listing of something like this, but 1) there's nothing wrong with starting a project in the interim and 2) I don't want to speak for Jeffrey Hill when it comes to putting together that phase of the project.

Yes, the database should eventually have an "organizations" component to it, but it may be a while before I get to it. With my full time job during the week and quizbowl tournaments on most weekends, my ability to make progress on the database is effectively limited to the summer. Given how relatively simple this would be to add, there's a good chance the database will be able to collect this information by the end of the summer.
