E.P. McCabe Scholars Bowl 9.27.8,(Langston,OK) Results

Dear Coaches,

The Langston University quiz bowl team is pleased to announce the second-annual Edwin P. McCabe Scholars Bowl, to be held on September 27, 2008 on Langston‘s main campus. We are aiming for an “A-level” tournament NAQT packet. This is an NAQT and PACE National Tournament qualifying tournament.
The registration fee of $75 per team will also include a light morning snack (coffee and something to the effect of a honey bun) and a pizza lunch.

Discounts: $15 off for a functioning buzzer system.
$20 off for registering AND paying before September 10, 2008.
$50 flat charge for each additional team (no limit).

Registration will begin at 8:00 A.M., with game play beginning at 9:00 A.M. We will be using a round robin format, with a seeded, single-elimination tournament at the end. The game packets will be available for purchase for a ten dollar charge. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns about anything do not hesitate to contact me.

Due to staffing and facility concerns, we are currently capping the field at 16 and the field is now closed. We will be accepting interested schools on a waiting list if for any reason a school should drop.

Timberlake defeated Moore for third place and also won the "Small School Champions" title.
