Seeking writers for Imaginary Landscape no. 2

Post by magin »

Dave Letzler and I are currently in the process of writing the second Imaginary Landscape. We'd really like another writer or two, so if you're interested in writing pyramidal audio tossups on mostly classical music (also some opera/jazz/musicals/movie scores/other), email me at [email protected].

Once we get more of the tournament completed, look for an announcement this fall.

Hey, we've finally finished writing this tournament (we're still polishing the individual tossups, but every question exists).

Two questions:

1) Who's interested in playing this exciting tournament? No less of a luminary than Dave Letzler described the first Imaginary Landscape as "epoch-making," and this one might be even better. If you're interested, could you post here or contact me privately so I can figure out demand?

2) When would be a good time to hold this tournament? I'd ideally like to hold it sometime this summer attached to a major tournament, but there seems to be a ton of side tournaments already announced, and I don't want to step on anyone's toes.

I'd be happy to answer any additional questions about this tournament here as well.

Wow, I was wondering just the other day if someone had ever written an audio event. I definitely want to play this.

Perhaps if the hypothetical early-August tournament happens, that would be a good time to do this?

I'd really love to play this, although my being out of the country for the entire summer makes it essentially impossible for me to do so for that time period, sadly. But if the second summer open happens and there aren't already too many side events lined up for that, then it seems like a good place to run it.

I'd love play this. I feel like (but I have no authority to make any decisions) this would be a fun side event at one of the Canadian summer tournaments (VETO or mirror of something).

I enjoyed it last time, and I'll play again if I'm around when it happens.
