NAQT SCT at Georgetown (2/3/18)

Georgetown Quizbowl is pleased to announce that we will be hosting this year's Mid-Atlantic site for the 2018 NAQT Sectional Championship Tournament (SCT) on February 3, 2018.

The tournament will take place on Georgetown University's campus in Washington, D.C., in the Edward B. Bunn Intercultural Center (commonly known as the ICC). Registration will tentatively run between 8:00am-9:00am. Parking is available for free on weekends in the Southwest Garage. A map of campus is available at maps.georgetown.edu.

Registration for this tournament will take place via NAQT's online registration system. Please register for the appropriate division here.

The current field for the tournament can be accessed here.

Base fee: $125 per team
Additional teams per school: $100 for any additional team(s)
Buzzer discount: -$10 per buzzer set
New school discount (no SCT, ICT, or CCCT attendance for two years): -$20 per team
Staff discount: -$30 per staffer

The minimum fee is $40. We will be accepting payment via cash or check on the day of the tournament. If you choose check, please make it out to "Georgetown University Quiz Bowl".

Congratulations to Virginia A for winning the DI title following a one-game final against Penn A, and Johns Hopkins B for winning the DII title after a one-game final against Virginia B! Maryland C cleared the lower playoff bracket in Division I to win the UG title.
