1974 Junior High Quiz (Pittsburgh) champions

Post by gschlegel2 »

In 1974, our quiz team from Jay Neff Middle School in Pittsburgh won the Junior High Quiz title. The show ran on local TV for about 15 years and was a 32-team single elimination tournament. I have the original audio from 4 of our 5 wins. Are there any quiz bowl historians out there who'd like to hear some of this? If so, can you suggest where I might post it? Since there's no video, I don't think YouTube would be appropriate.

People put up audio on Youtube all the time. Just play it over a blank screen or a picture of a buzzer or whatever.

The audio of our games is now on http://doc-ent.com/gordon. A big "Thank you!" to Mike Bentley for allowing me to post these on his website.

Enjoy these bits of ancient (if not downright prehistoric) quiz bowl history!
