The Partnership for Academic Competition Excellence is now accepting submissions for the 2016-2017 PACE Outreach Fund, a program funding outreach for high quality quizbowl around the country. The program is designed to support state organization and tournament hosts in their efforts to recruit new teams.
Funding will take the form of grants, the size of which will depend on the predicted impact of the program. See the 2015-16 outreach fund announcement for examples of previously funded projects.
In order to apply for a grant, send an email to PACE Treasurer Mike Bentley at email@example.com and PACE Vice President of Outreach Victor Prieto at firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “PACE Outreach Fund – [organization or school name]”. Applications must include details about the proposed outreach, including: method of outreach, approximate length of program, number of schools expected to be reached, and approximate cost of the program. Applications will be considered in the order that they are received, and applicants will be notified of the status of their application within two weeks.
Organizations must also either provide receipts up front or send receipts to PACE no later than 30 days after the completion of their outreach. Organizations that do not comply with this requirement will not be permitted to apply for further outreach funds.
The outreach fund is generously supported by Fred Morlan's fundraiser and contributions from people like you.
