PACE Membership Status Changes 2015-16

PACE is pleased to announce that Jordan Brownstein, Andrew Feist, Jarret Greene, Roxanne Ilagan, Gaurav Kandlikar, and Victor Prieto have joined PACE.

These new members bring many diverse talents -- from logistics to editing to outreach -- that will help PACE continue to provide high-quality services and support to the quizbowl community.

George Berry has resigned from PACE. We thank him for his service over the past 6 years, and wish him the best.

Carsten Gehring has resigned from PACE. We're grateful for his service and fare him well.

Jeffrey Hill has resigned from PACE. We thank him for his work and send our best wishes.

David Riley has resigned from PACE. We're thankful for his work and wish him the best moving forward.

PACE welcomes its new members Nick Clusserath, Athena Kern, and Andrew Nadig! We're excited about what each of them bring to PACE, and look forward to working together.

Adam Silverman has resigned from PACE. We're grateful for his work and wish him well.

Matt Jackson has resigned from PACE. We are greatly appreciative of his work with PACE, and send him our best wishes for the years to come.

Speaking personally now, and not as director of communications: I joined PACE exactly two years ago*, just as Matt was starting his term as President of PACE, and I consider myself pretty lucky to have worked with him in my first year. His vision of what PACE could do, and how individual-level efforts could help contribute to that project was particularly inspiring to a new member like me. I speak for myself when I say that I’m grateful for his leadership, but I suspect that others in PACE may also feel the same.

I second Marianna's thoughts on Matt J.'s tenure in PACE. I had the opportunity to work with him as the youngest member of the PACE board when he was President (doing Marianna's current job) and Matt was never anything less than helpful and encouraging to me. He's a big reason why I still want to be a part of PACE, even as I become increasingly removed from my high school playing days. Matt helped to show me that what PACE does and how it conducts itself matters, not just for this one national tournament, but for the health of quizbowl as an entire activity.
