New York NASAT Tryouts

Post by a Joe »

After much discussion, Chris Zheng and I are proud to announce that this is happening!

There will be tryouts for the New York NASAT team on Thursday, March 17 and Friday, March 18 in a Google Hangout. (if this date is horrible for all involved, it can be changed.)

If you are interested in being a part of the team, please fill out the google form located here: http://goo.gl/forms/jgcnc20IGx. If you are interested, but are concerned about transportation, please PM me or email me at [email protected] and let me know. I can get a better idea on the method of transportation once I know the locations of those who are interested; as such, I strongly encourage you to try out anyway. If you are concerned about costs, please inform me of that also.

So with the additional interest in the last few days, are these tryouts happening again?

After briefly talking with Ben Zhang, I think there should be no tryouts for New York. Since NASAT is like a month and a half away, I will select a team (probably with the help of Ben Zhang) from the people that contact me that they are still interested in competing at NASAT. However, I will NOT participate in any sort of planning, logistics, etc. The members of the selected team should figure out transportation, registrations, etc. With that said, if you are still interested in representing Team NY at NASAT, please send me a PM or an email at [email protected]. To the best of my ability, I will try to contact some people and if I get a decent enough number I will close this off. Otherwise, I will give you until the end of next week (May 6th) to send me some sort of notification.
