Ichabod Invitational 3/25/17 @ Great Valley (Malvern, PA)

Great Valley High School is pleased to announce the first ever Ichabod Invitational to be hosted on March 25, 2017 at Great Valley High School. This is a great opportunity to give your middle school students an opportunity to compete in general knowledge quiz bowl and introduce them to a pyramidal question format. We will be offering food on-site for lunch or teams may explore the option of going to nearby restaurants if they choose. We are hoping the March tournament date will allow for greater expansion of the Southeastern PA circuit, as many Middle Schools do not have academic teams/competitions until the spring. If we have the ability to divide into an open/novice division, we will do so.

Tournament Facts:
Registration Fee: $60 for first team, $50 for subsequent teams
New to Quiz Bowl: $40 for each team (Trying to get new teams from PA in particular)
Registration Discounts: -$5 for buzzer system, -$5 for experienced moderators
Minimum Fee (per team—not school): $40
Question Set: SCOP-MS 7
We may offer a novice division if we can get enough teams interested in the split and enough buzzers/moderators.

We will be capping the field at 24 teams due to limits on buzzers and moderators at this time. We will expand if we get enough staffing/interest, which (at least on staffing on our end) is actually quite likely.
