Sponsorship for NAQT?

Post by Jeffersono »

Hello everyone,

This is Jefferson from Ontario, Canada. Our school has just started a quizbowl chapter these couple of years and we are fortunate enough to qualify for NAQT this May. However, the cost for travel from Canada to Texas is quite expensive- so we were just wondering if you amazing people have any ideas for groups/people who could potentially sponsor our team's travel? Thanks a lot!!

At least one team has used a GoFundMe to solicit donations for nationals.

Running a quizbowl tournament is also a pretty popular option, but it's getting late in the year and I don't think there are many schools with quizbowl clubs in Canada. You could try this if you're sure you can get a profitable field.

pls do this we would love this.

also Lisgar does a trivia night with spaghetti every year in conjunction with another club in order to raise money for both, it's very popular from what I've heard.
