I am a freshman in high school living in Oregon. I want to create a quiz bowl club at my school after researching different extracurricular activities that do not require large amounts of funding and that promote rounded knowledge in multiple subjects. Are there any other coaches in the Oregon area that could give me some information about the teams that I wouldn't find on this website? Thanks.

A couple of quick tips (wish I had more time to go into stuff right now, but school beckons):
This fella tried to run a tourney in Oregon last year.
There was also this tournament last year.
There are also tournaments in Washington, Idaho and NorCal, depending on where you're located.

In addition to what Fred lists, there's also an active league in southern Oregon that uses NAQT questions. (1, 2).

There are History Bowl tournaments in the Portland area every year!
