I'm so happy that this is on the only date in March we're free. If our driver is available, then expect a team from Case.

Doing stuff like sending 4 teams to SCT is doing unspeakable things to our budget, but we at Ohio State will try to send a couple teams to this.

Yes, this is the only day we can host due to spring break.

Hey, Ohio State has to back out of this because I will be out of the country and OSU will be on spring break.

I'll text my driver tomorrow to make sure he's still available (I think he will be). When I find out for sure, either way, I'll post here.

If you need me to, I'll come and staff this, because I've already played it and I live like 5 blocks away.

That would be totally awesome because it would mean I could give our freshmen more of a chance to play.

Hey Trevor, if you could send payment information, like who to make the check out to and possible high school discounts to Smita Gandhi, our coach, at [email protected], I'd appreciate it.

If you guys would want to play a couple rounds of HI tossups as a side event type of thing following the tournament, that'd be fine by me. Email me.

Unfortunately we don't have a driver, so Case is out.

I'm not sure what the deal is exactly because I'm not going and it's spring break, but I'm not under the impression that Maryland is sending more than one team to this tournament.

From an email I just sent:

Hello All,

Registration for this tournament will start at 8:30 am in Porter Hall
100 (2B on this map
(http://www.cmu.edu/homeimages/campus-ma ... _11x17.jpg),
with games beginning at 9:00 sharp. Free parking can be had in the
Morewood Lot on Forbes (P12 on the map). If you are going to be late,
need directions, etc., you can contact me on my cell at [see email]

Our final field for this tournament is as follows:
State College (2)
Maryland (2)
Pitt
Duke
House

Having an odd number of teams for blind packets is clearly
sub-optimal, so we will try to add an eighth team. If anyone would
like to bring an extra team (or split their current teams), we can
work something out with finances so that team either plays for a
drastic discount or for free - otherwise, we'll try to make another
team out of house players and other miscellaneous people tomorrow
morning.

Assuming we have eight teams, we will do a full round robin, followed
by rebracket into 4/4, for a total of 10 games plus advantaged finals.

See you tomorrow,
Trevor

Congratulations to State College A, who went undefeated to clear the field and win CMU's mirror of MUT. The top bracket was rounded out by Maryland A, Duke, and Maryland B.

Thanks to all teams for coming, and special thanks to Charlie Rosenthal and Dwight Kidder for coming to help staff.

Stats will be up shortly.
