This list is as comprehensive as possible, so I'm including IS and A-Series tournaments that I know of. Please post ones I'm missing in the thread (including mirrors), and I'll edit the initial post to reflect additions.

Note: From my reading of the thread, Yale's BoB tournament is happening, but not on 11/15 as initially indicated.

Academic Novice tournaments:

ACF Fall: The Academic Competition Federation's novice tournament, edited by Rob Carson, Gautam Kandlikar, Ted Gioia, and me. Packet submission is not necessarily required; see the tournament announcement for details.
EFT (Early Fall Tournament): A novice-level tournament written by members of the Brown University team, mainly Eric Mukherjee, Dennis Jang, and Jerry Vinokurov. No packet submission.
Delta Burke: A novice tournament geared towards community college players, produced by Valencia CC under the leadership of Chris Borglum. No packet submission.
Hoosier Open: An open packet-sub tournament edited by Indiana under Carlo Angiuli. ACF Fall level.

Academic circuit events, regular difficulty or higher:

Minnesota Open: An above-average difficulty packet submission tournament edited by members of the Minnesota club (Rob Carson, Gautam Kandlikar, and me). Packet submission is required. Side events include a house-written literature tournament, a trash tournament, and Jeremy Eaton's video games event.
Illinois Open: An above-average difficulty tournament centrally produced by the Illinois team, mainly Trygve Meade. Packet submission not required.
T-Party: A packet sub event to be edited by Harvard, regionals or a little harder. Date set, but tournament may or may not happen. Details pending.

NAQT events:

Carleton Undergraduate Tournament: For undergrads only, played on NAQT Invitational Series 77 questions. No packet submission.
Rollapalooza X: Same as CUT, above.
Gateway Invitational Tournament: Played on NAQT Invitational Series 79 questions. No packet submission.
Tartan Tussle: A novice tournament (geared towards entirely new players) held on NAQT A-Series questions. No packet submission.

Other Events/Info not known:

This Tournament Goes to Eleven: A tournament composed of themed rounds edited by members of the Iowa squad, namely Paul Drube. Packet submission is encouraged by not required.
Southeastern: info not known.

I think TIT is going to be in the fall, although I don't know what date Jeremy and Chris have set for that yet (if there is a date set).

Pending room reservations (the woman in charge of them is rather elusive during the summer), Harvard will be running the T Party--packet submission--on 12/6. Tournament announcement to come when said rooms come.

Currently TIT is actually planned for the spring.

Dude, Harvard Boy, Sarah is hard to find year round. She does many things.

I nailed her within an hour of the expected time the day you wanted me to find her; her office hours had just changed.

At least she has a corporeal form during the school year and answers her email.

It looks pretty certain that the Valencia Delta Burke CC tournament will now be on Friday, 10/24, and Saturday, 10/25 (instead of the following weekend), sharing questions with an FSU-hosted HS tournament.

It seems that things I post at seven in the morning should be taken with a grain of salt. I had been using "found" twice and I vaguely remember thinking that I should find another verb for variety's sake. Apparently I didn't use the filters "make sure the verbs mean the same thing" and "make sure the second verb doesn't mean fuck."

Some of us are wondering what gave you the idea that GIT at WUSTL would be on November 1? We've not announced that nor was anyone intending to.

I told Andrew that. My apologies; conversations with people at WUSTL seemed to indicate that you guys were planning to host GIT that day.

Indiana University will be hosting its first-annual HO (Hoosier Open, that is) on November 22, 2008. Announcement forthcoming.

LIES! The GIT date has been decided on, and it will be happening (as previously surmised) on the 1st of November.

Is Rochester running an FDIC this year? It would most likely be Sep 27 if there were one, but that's a loop I'm out of.

Given that they are four hundred miles from the nearest confirmed site, perhaps they could bid to run EFT instead of a high school tournament this year.

400 miles, you say? And surely every bit as easy to run...

I dunno how many of them have already figured on playing EFT, of course, but there were always plenty of house teams for the IS FDICs when I was there. It's a thought.

Now to figure out where the Rochester people have gone off to.

UCLA is also hosting its EFT mirror on Oct. 4.

Does anyone have info on when Wake will be hosting EFT, or about GIT in general?

We're still working with Wake Forest, but they are currently leaning towards the 11th of October.

GIT is IS-79 at Wash U.

You can say something more definite, if you care to, about the T-Party. The date's not really tentative--if it'll be happening at all, it'll be happening then--and details should be forthcoming soon. (But details as far as packet-sub, approximately regionals-or-a-little-harder difficulty, etc. are certainly set.)

Oklahoma is also hosting an EFT mirror on October 4.

Hey, could we add an N to the thread title? It's been bothering me.

We could, but what we could also do is enter all the tournaments that have been announced so far into the Tournament Database. Then, you can simply filter all tournaments by the "college" level to get an up-to-date calendar.

I will start entering some of the tournaments. Anyone else can enter them as long as you get the info correct.

All collegiate academic tournaments that have announced with actual dates and sites are now entered into the TDB. You can browse a list of all upcoming collegiate-only tournaments at the first link below. Don't forget to also check for open tournaments at the second link.

BTW, the date for Terrapin XXIII, which has been announced for 1/31/09, is listed as 1/21/09 in the database.

By the way, Hoosier Open has just been rescheduled to February 14.

Not that it matters much at this point, but UT-Chattanooga is doing a mirror of the Minnesota Open on Saturday, October 18.
