With a few days to go, you may be wondering where to go and when.

Registration will be from 8:15-8:55, followed by a five-minute team
meeting. I'm hoping to get games started by 9:00 AM. There are seven
teams at this tournament:

Illinois
Drake
Rolla (Missouri S&T)
Minnesota (2 Teams)
Harding
Truman State

Tournament headquarters will be in Baldwin Hall 218. Directions on how
to get to Baldwin Hall:

When coming into Kirksville on US-63, take a left on Normal St. (if
you're coming from the South) or a right on Normal (if you're coming
from the North). Going down normal, you'll get onto Truman's campus and
pass a group of white apartment buildings. Right after those is a large
faculty parking lot that you'll be able to park in. Directly across
from that parking lot is Baldwin Hall - if you aren't sure you've got
the right one, it's got its name drilled into the bricks on the side.
We'll be on the second floor right near either of the two staircases.

Quick Results:
Harding/Paul Drube defeated Minnesota A in the Finals to claim the championship.

3rd: Mike Sorice/DaGeneral
4th: Brendan

And then Rolla, Truman A and Minn. B played around in the losers bracket.

The questions were overall pretty good with some varying difficulty on bonus parts and some packets seeming much easier overall.

Christopher will have a full wrap-up and stats soon.

Even though we had a relatively small field, it was a very competetive one.

We started off the day doing a full round robin of 7 games. Statistics of that round robin can be found here.

After the initial round robin, teams were ranked 1-7 based on their reconds and then split into a group of 4 ("Circle of Death") and 3 ("Semi-Circle of Death"). Those two groups then played a round robin among themselves. Based the combined records from the inital round robin and the playoff round robin, Harding/Paul Drube and Minnesota A were tied for first place at 7-2, after which they played a 1-game final to determine the winner. Harding won the final game, 235-190; the game went down to the las question, as the score was 205-190 at the start of question 20.

Statistics for the playoff round robin and the final game can be found here.

Combined standings from the whole day can be found here*.

* It should be noted that in the final standings, Drake was in front of Truman, although Truman's overall record was better. This is because Drake made it to the Winner's bracket of the playoff rounds, while Truman did not.

Final standings were:
1) Harding/Paul Drube
2) Minnesota A
3) Illinois
4) Drake
5) Truman
6) Missouri S&T
7) Minnesota B

Thank you all for coming, I hope everyone who came enjoyed themselves.
