Just a note, the UCF one was actually an accident in that I pasted the wrong link, but I thought it maintained a surrealistic, Mobius strip style of what playing ACF Nationals is like.

I will maintain my prediction that Liberty will beat Ottawa by 30ing an evolutionary theory bonus.

Also that bracket names will have something to do with Shantanu.

I'm soloing, so they'd better beat me by more than that. Your ICT prediction was (in many ways) uncannily accurate.

I predict that no Canadian team (and Pat) gets beat to a TU on Mackenzie Bowell, but that it gets dropped in every other room.

A 4x12 into 4x12 would mean everyone played 20 games, and would require 9 blind packets for the crossover rounds, on top of tiebreakers and finals.

Carleton University, and RIT as well I think? Yay for the growth of Canadian quizbowl! I think NAQT had suggested if five Canadian teams ever made it to HSNCT in one year, they would play off the top two for a title. This year at Nats, we have Mac, Ottawa, McGill, Carleton, Waterloo, Alberta. That's 1/8 of the ACF Nationals field.

If we play and beat Northwestern, our season will have been salvaged and we can go into the summer happy. No more McGill losing to Northwestern.

I never hear Michigan or Columbia mentioned when it comes to Canadiana! Regardless, if Bowell is tossed up, then I'm calling that at least two of {Saajid, Kenji, Ben Zhang, Trevor} will beat their Canadian teammates to it. Honorary Canadian Adam Swift of RIT is probably bound to also get a Canadian tossup!

At our first ICT in 2012, I was walking back from Giordano's alone and I stopped to cross the street. I thought I heard footsteps behind me and I turned to see who. I caught the inside of my ear on a rusty stop sign bad enough to draw a lot of blood. I talked to the hotel nurse (AKA the girl standing closest to the first aid kid) who said the only thing to do was to go to the hospital and get a tetanus shot and stitches. I figured I'd spent too much money to do that and it was too important to buzzer rock for my DII team and I went up to the room. My teammates were just happy enough that Ian Braun wasn't playing top bracket matches and didn't question it. Our opponents that round (Shan Kothari and Joe Nutter of MSU I think) did everything they could to convince me that I needed to go to the E.R. since I said it'd been 8 or 9 years since I had a tetanus shot but I didn't since they were trying to get rid of our best player in a big match. The only bad thing that happened is that there's a small scar in my ear and Ian McKenzie had to call a timeout once since the blood dripping out my ear became a distraction.

48. RIT - Expect Adam Swift to lead his team with points...since he's the only one playing. Maybe in the quizbowl world, it stands for 'Respect this Individual Team'.

47. Carleton University - Carleton will win this tournament hands down..at being the most fun group of quizbowlers to be around. Expect Nick Penner and co. to 30 a bonus on 'fun'.

46. South Carolina - Christopher King will be their King on Saturday, having the knowledge and charisma to avoid last place.

45. Liberty - Hopefully, this team will use their Christian knowledge and their Science knowledge to answer a tossup on Mary Baker Eddy.

44. Waterloo - Aayush will dominate all in a flamboyant display. Expect him to take India everyday. And don't forget about 'Tay Tay'.

43. Ohio State - I hope that this team shows up in full support, or forgets the tournament even happened. Either way, expect a surprise with the Buckeyes.

42. UCSD B - Sadly, UCSD arrives late to Ann Arbor, at 11:00am instead of 8:00am, forgetting to change their watches 3 hours ahead.

41. Michigan B - Playing in their own backyard, expect this team to arrive later, thinking that they still have time.

40. Notre Dame B - This lackluster side seem all out of hope and pray to 'Notre Dame' herself, and later surge past teams in the bottom bracket.

39. Penn C - I expect Cushing and Block to be the next great Penn C duo. Scratch that, the only great Penn C duo.

38. McMaster - Jay the Red and his gang will likely discover new ground in Ann Arbor. Or get stuck along the way. Or both.

37. UCF - Bradley Kirksey has cultivated the seeds of quizbowl in Florida, and I reckon the result will be sweet.

36. Rice - It starts off well enough, but then Victor negs 'Battle of Lake Trasimene' with 'Battle of Marathon'. It only goes downhill from there.

35. UCLA - The top scoring powerhouse that is Hidehiro Anto only has one flaw, his lack of teammates.

34. VCU - The days of being in the Top 25 has come and gone for VCU. Or has it? I think it has.

33. Kenyon - After driving through the rain, this team arrives later than expected but before the tournament starts. They even play a round of quizbowl with another team before realizing that this they are actually at MSU.

32. Chicago C - Whoever this team is fielding, expect them to be the winningest C team in the world.

31. Rutgers - Expect David Song to sing his way into the third bracket. My guess is either the 1812 Overture or the Trainer Victory song from Pokemon. Or a combination of the two.

30. Ottawa - The Jordan Palmer Experience is back again to rock your world. Tickets are and will always be available.

29. Minnesota - Shan Kothari is bound to get some teammates to help him stick to his own advice. A diamond can only be cut by another diamond, and Shan can only be psyched out by himself. (Or another Shan I guess?)

28. UC Berkeley B - It's time for ACF, and lack of powers mean a lack of powering through to the second bracket.

27. Penn B - Max Smiley will frown for the prelims, before seeing his team do his namesake facial expression by the end of the day.

26. Chicago B - The team gets lost after mishearing the Michigan Diag as the Michigan Dying, and soon see Janissaries shooting on unarmed quizbowlers. Then Kay Li wakes up.

25. MIT B - Hwang and Ren are nervous at first, losing by 100s of points in their few opening games. They meditate, then get a first-liner on 'The Five Precepts'. Everyone moves closer to nirvana after that.

24. Washington - The top scorer will be Grubb. Then a line he will flub. Getting angry, his toe will stub. And Washington will have to sub.

23. Notre Dame A - They play many tiebreakers long into the day to determine the boundary between the second and third brackets. On the last one, they lose out on a Eugene O'Neil play. They now understand the meaning of 'long day's journey into night' after leaving a few hours late.

22. McGill - Derek is late after lunch, causing Joe to go look for him. When Derek comes back, Joe is nowhere to be found. The game starts as normal, but then Joe appears from nowhere to get a tossup on Czech composers.

21. Stanford B - Jialin Ding gets a bonus on Ernest Hemingway, and Alex Freed gets one on Alexander II of Russia.

20. Oxford - Flying over the pond, their knowledge stakes up well on 'Pope Adrian IV' and 'John Everett Millais', but not so much on 'Fast Food Advertising Campaigns'.

19. UC Berkeley A - Ankit manages to accidentally buzz on 'This ancient city' and blurts out 'Ayutthaya' to get the points. He then promptly gets zero on Alternative Literary Poems.

18. Northwestern - Dylan Minarik. Legend at Belvidere North, Legend at Northwestern.

17. Illinois - Andrew Wang tries in vain to stop the chaos around him..caused by his plethora of negs. Luckily, his teammates help Illinois to finish reasonably well-off.

16. DCC - A high school team that can beat even a regional collegiate powerhouse, this team shows that youth and experience aren't mutually exclusive.

15. William & Mary - Sean Smiley seems to rectify his past, only for him to buzz with "Crommodus' for 'Commodus'. The stench of failure remains.

14. NYU - The Grand Slam Man, Evan Adams, is at a new school, and will try to give NYU another strong performance. Expect him to win a tiebreaker on Louis Sullivan.

13. Alberta - Hopefully Trevor and Sinan bring back the charm that we haven't seen yet from them this year. I just hope they don't get stuck on a 'narrow road from the deep north' before arriving in Ann Arbor.

12. Harvard - Looking strong, but suffering from large changes in personnel, this team's performance could easily falter like the Ottoman Empire.

11. Columbia - The always attentive Ben Zhang and co. will be looking to stir the pot a bit. Like the Chimera, they is fierce and dazzling, but a few great heroes can defeat them.

10. WUSTL - Yu and Hang will challenge anyone with their knowledge of history, but in other areas, they lack. I believe that they will come short in the top bracket against stronger, more ferocious opposition.

9. Yale - This team has Music and Literature covered, but they might hear 'Schwanengesang' as the playoffs take place.

8. UCSD A - Auroni has done well leading this team, who also has Jason and Rohit to thank for its success. Look for Auroni to be unwavering in his responses, whether rightly or wrongly.

7. MIT A - Neil Gurram was a star at Detroit Country Day, and while still a star, he gets overshadowed by the likes of Bollinger and Mukherjee. Quality will shine through and the great will be defeated by the excellent.

6. Stanford - Two ultimate generalists, Liu and Brownlow, will join forces for many entertaining matches. This West Coast school will be coasting it until the playoffs, when Brownlow can't thirty a physics bonus.

5. Michigan A - Will Nediger and co. will show that they mean business, and be in the Top 5 this time round. His team has the deep knowledge, but not the science knowledge to break out into a higher place.

4. Maryland - Jordan, Dan, Brian, and Chris are playing near perfect quizbowl when late in the game Dan negs with 'Guiding Light', losing his team's only chance to make it in the Top 3.

3. Chicago A - This are looking desperate for Chicago A getting to the final, but Chris Ray gets four tossups in a row to be down by 20 points to Penn going in to the final tossup. Then Chris turns from hero to villain in an instant when he negs with Samarkand for Dushanbe, ending all hope for the plucky team.

2. Penn - They look to right the wrong of ICT and make sure they win ACF Nats. Can they do it? Maybe. Do I think they will do it? No.

1. Virginia - Bollinger is one if not the greatest quizbowler currently playing. On top of that, they have Tommy Casalaspi, a title contender with a excessive amount of literature knowledge. With a deluge of other great players that specialize in science, I cannot see any team but them pull through.

I know, but I counted all the teams that were registered, and there were 50. You can check yourself. If someone could tell me the changes, I would more than appreciate it.

Edit: Thanks for telling me that. I was using an old team sheet. I will edit it promptly.
Edit 2: Cannot 30 a tossup. But if anyone could, it would be Nick Penner.

The list of registered teams is here. Columbia B and North Carolina are your excess teams.

Is it safe to assume Auroni was driving a car en route to his 99 ppg prelim performance?
