Great Lakes SCT at Case Western -- SUNDAY, 9 Feb 2014

In cooperation with the Case Western Reserve University team, I'm pleased to be the host and organizer of the 2014 Great Lakes Sectional Championship Tournament. This tournament will take place on Sunday, 9 February 2014.

Registration will take place in the Rockefeller Building; games will take place in the Rockefeller, Sears, and Nord buildings. The standard fees and discounts as announced by NAQT will apply for this event. These are...

$120 entry fee, first team
$100 entry fee, subsequent teams

$10 discount -- bringing a functioning, minimum 8-player buzzer/lockout system
$5 discount -- bringing a functioning clock (with battery or power cord as needed), clearly visible to both teams
$30 discount -- bringing a qualified moderator. This discount must be claimed by January 26 to be granted automatically; claims for this discount after that date may be denied.

$20 discount per team -- If your school has neither competed in nor hosted an SCT in the last two years, this discount is automatically granted.

Teams should arrive on campus by 8:30 AM. I hope to start Round 1 by 9:00 AM. Per NAQT requirements, teams will be guaranteed nine games.

Parking information: Visitors coming to Case Western Reserve University should park at one of three garages unless other arrangements have been made. Garages are located at:

lots 29(Severance Garage) located at 11001 Euclid Avenue Cleveland, OH 44106
53(Veale) located at 2158 Adelbert Road Cleveland, OH 44106 In my experience with previous Case events, this is your best option.
55 (Health Science Garage) located at 2242 Circle Drive Cleveland, Ohio 44106

Visitors' Parking Rate: 4 hours or more $10.00 per day
