That's a reasonable decision. I honestly didn't expect CO History to have this many (theoretical) packets, so I'm going to have to back out of this event and have just emailed Ted. Anyone who wants to win this tournament: probably a good idea to take my spot.

I suppose I will stick around to staff this experiment.

I'm interested in playing this tournament (and am seeking a teammate). I am also more than happy to staff if needed.

This is past Wednesday afternoon, but if you still have room, I can play this with Westbrook.

I would likewise like to inquire if there is still room and offer myself as a free agent.

Including Laferbrook, there are now 16 teams signed up, which is a good number to cap it at - Libo has printed off schedules for a 16-team field. Notice that at the moment there's an open spot on Ted's team, though, and who knows if more people will drop out, so free agents might still get to play.

The doubles pair of Kevin Koai and John Lawrence (Obabakoai) beat Rob Carson and Mike Cheyne (Carson Saeculare) in the first game of an advantaged finals.

Stats are up at:

I'm sorry if there are any errors and will fix them if you post here/message me.

EDIT: typing the URLS from my phone seems to have failed, but the stats are accessible from the right side of the linked pages.

The 'prelims' and 'playoffs and finals' seem to link to the same set of stats.

Will fix this when I get working Internet back in Canada.

Finals was won by Kevin Koai (1/2/0) and John Lawrence (1/6/0) putting up 110 to Rob Carson (1/6/1) and Mike Cheyne's (0/0/-1) 65.

EDIT: Stats are now directly linked and correctly uploaded in the above post.

Thanks for a very fun lit tournament. I look forward to reading through the set when it is disseminated (hopefully soon?) and I hope you're planning on creating a discussion forum, since this set had some quite distinctive approaches to tossup construction (especially in the writing of tossups on easy-answer lines) that I'm sure people will want to discuss.

Patrick, I already sent you some stat corrections. To those, I'll add that:

should be the other way round. Thanks.

Those are some interesting stat lines. I'm sorry I couldn't be there; I guess I'll just have to wait for the gratuitously experimental GELD.
