So this tournament will in fact be in New Cabell Hall. Cabell is undergoing renovations and some of the elevators are closed, so if anyone's team will include someone for whom stairs are a problem, please let me know in your registration email and I'll try to place your games in rooms conducive to that. I'll edit an exact meeting location and some parking suggestions into the above post later this week.

This is apparently Yom Kippur! So I'll be there, but I dunno how many more of us will be, as we've got a lot of Jews on the team, including the other driver.

I can't speak for GW yet, but consider at least "Morrissey University" interested.

It's college, you don't have to worry about insurance or whatever anymore if you're playing solo for your school.

True, but I never got a chance to play under a pseudonym school in high school and I always kinda wanted to. Point being, I will probably be there, with or without people.

This is not really an opportunity I'd worry about missing.

Having once failed miserably as a representative of "Chris Manners", I can tell you that this is true.

Liberty University wants to bring 3 teams, but we need to know a name and address where we can mail our registration check. (sorry, but our business office insists on mailing the check).

Hey, Mr. Nutter. You should have a reply with that information on your Facebook message. Also, since I didn't specify in the initial announcement, checks should be made out to "Academic Competition Club." Thanks!

Hey, folks, we're about a week and a half away from this tournament, and with only 6 teams signed up, we still have plenty of room. If you'd like to join us, please email me at sea2fj at virginia dot edu to register.

Penn state will be there with one team, two buzzers, no moderators, and the 200-399 miles travel discount. I'll send an email confirming this later.

Confirmation would be great, as would one more team from anyone out there who may be interested, since Penn State puts us at 13.

Thanks for letting me know, Joe. I think I'm going to take this opportunity to cap the field at 12 teams and hope to not have work with an odd number. Penn State, you have the first shot at that 12th spot, but please let me know soon.

Hey, the USC team looks like it will be short-handed, but we've booked rooms for a full team, so we've got extra room at our hotel. If anyone wants a room for $15 on Friday night, let me know. We'll probably be coming in pretty late (I can call ahead to try to check you in), but hey, $15 is a pretty good deal. Just e-mail me at [email protected] if interested.

Lots of fun! Exceptionally fast for 11 rounds, and I even get to go to sleep before 2 am! I expect that Penn State will be back next year, hopefully with two teams!

Thanks to everyone for coming, and especially for keeping me up to date on the number of teams you were bringing in the end. Special thanks to Liberty for agreeing to field an extra team to avoid byes. I hope everyone had a good time, and I hope to see everyone again at ACF Fall!
