BLASTOISE at UToronto, May 21st

Canadian universities are now done for the year (hurray!), and so now it is our turn to tempt our Southern neighbours away from studying. Therefore, this is an announcement for a BLASTOISE (formerly known as the Ottawa Hybrid) mirror, which will be running at University of Toronto on May 21st.

1) This is an open tournament: I wouldn't go so far as to call this tournament juniorbird, but it will be accessible to players of all skill levels, so any high school teams are quite welcome as well.
2) There's no need to write a pack, as the tournament is a complete set; and
3) We will be keeping the fee under $100, with discounts for staff, buzzers and distance (and high school).

The Hybrid, of course, denotes that this tournament has a comparatively high Trash content (I found it about the same mix as NAQT SCT, to be honest, but packet distribution is about 50/50). Come on out and experience Toronto in May (think: Florida in March)!

I will also attempt to run side events, in order to give some long-suffering packet contributors some well-deserved $.

Details other than date will be added shortly. For questions and/or comments, please e-mail either [email protected] or or UT Quizbowl El Presidente Max Trower [email protected]
Hope to see you there!
