Taft launching soon... (UPDATE: Taft is live!)

Post by BuzzerZen »

Taft will launch within a week. If you signed up for a coupon on the teaser site, you'll get it when we open up registration. In the meantime, check out the sample tournament, to which I plan on adding more pretend data.

Does Taft have some functions which differentiate it from plain SQBS output hosted on a club's website?

They will. I need to dump the database and figure out how if I need to mess with the data at all, but I'll be doing it.

And Jerry, check out this.

Last spammy post in this thread for a while, I promise...I made a screencast of the game entry process in Taft. Requires Quicktime.

One thing I noticed from the video is that it would save a lot of typing if when you filled in the tossups heard in a game, each player's individual tossups heard gets filled in with the value. I imagine that the times that you would need to change that would be far less than the times you'd need to needlessly match each player's tossups heard with the game's tossups heard.

I forgot, how much of a discount was the coupon good for?

I'm pleased to announce that, after over a year of development, Taft is open for registration. If you signed up for a coupon on the teaser site, your coupon will take the form of me giving you a $5 refund from PayPal when you create a tournament; just bug me if you sign up and I'll do it as soon as I get your e-mail. Everyone else, I hope you'll consider using Taft when running your next tournament. This will be the end of me making spammy posts about it in the forums I release a major new feature.
