Congrats! Just curious - what does this do for you as far as your role in NCATA?

Well, I'll probably still want to remain as organizational advisor and executive director until the end of the calendar year... at least until I know we can get some programs up and running. Of course though, it should be understood I may be a bit distracted. :)

But won't you get bored if we held nationals in DC every year? :)

I'm obviously very excited about this, but I have to see exactly how much work I'm going to be putting in to do my job. The job is certainly going to be a bit more work than what I've slouched into during my search.

Hey, my better half and I are both just outside of Baltimore right now, and I was at the It's Academic taping up there this past Saturday, so they're not getting ignored by any stretch!

They lose the Final Four, but they get Dr. Chuck.

A net loss, but actually a net gain.

Congratulations!

Hopefully it will also be a net gain for everyone. But I have to do well in my real job first. Fortunately I don't have to fret about juggling the new job and running the 2006 NSC... so I'm very happy about that.

Hmmm...I noticed David Addison is Outstanding Young Public Servant. I suppose that's for all the crimes he solved with Maddie Hayes?

I'd be a little suspicious of any organization that gives awards to "Moonlighting" characters.

Congratulations on the job and thanks for helping midwife NC quiz bowl.

Bwaha... he's joining the NoVa/DC/Baltimore Collective! *jokingly*

Kidding aside -- I'm very glad you found a position that works well for you, Even happier you will be in the area.

Let me know if you need to know anything about the WRLC Library Consortium, from your friendly Neighborhood Library Circulation Manager.... ;)

Awesome ETC, congrats... although I was looking forward to the day Thomas Chuck returns to NE Ohio...

Those darn case tournaments just aren't the same without you...

That's going to happen with any student-run organization. Though Allison's doing a good job as much as she can.

That said, hopefully we can find some way where I don't actually have to be somewhere to make sure a tournament runs well.
