Academic Team Coaches:

It is my pleasure to announce the 2nd Detroit Catholic Central Spring Tournament. The tournament will be held Saturday, May 6th, 2017 at the Detroit Catholic Central High School campus located at 27225 Wixom Road, Novi, MI 48374.

The tournament will be using the NAQT Small School National Championship Tournament Set (SSNCT). It will serve as an excellent pre-HSNCT warm-up and preparation.

Tournament bracketing and playoff format will be determined once a clearer picture of the size of the field is obtained.

The fee structure is as follows:
• $75 cost per team (no charge beyond 2 teams)
• $10 buzzer discount
• $30 travel discount (100 miles—one way)
• $40 moderator discount

We look forward to your attendance at our tournament. Tournament registration can be made by emailing me [email protected]. We will be accepting team registrations until Thursday, May 4th.

Thanks to everyone who attended yesterday, especially Harrison who made the drive up from Indiana. We were able to finish 14 rounds in the championship bracket by 5:00 P.M., with very few complications. Stats are posted here: https://www.naqt.com/stats/tournament-t ... nt_id=8339

As a reader, this tournament was ran very well. I'd also like to give a shoutout to Okemos for finishing in second. I read their last game versus DCC A and while they both got 10 tossups, Okemos lost the game on the tossup 20. DCC A played a little bit better, but Okemos should expect to do well at Nationals this year as well.
