UPDATE: This tournament has been given PLATINUM certification by PACE. This means that the top 25% of the field will qualify for the PACE NSC to be held from June 10-11 at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Chicago, IL. Additionally, this tournament needs a field for it to take place. So, if you plan on coming, please register ASAP.

Will this be power-matching or round robin format?

This field is current; however, we're in touch with several other interested teams and the field should shape up within the next few days. The small field so far can probably be attributed to the announcement not going up until after many schools had started Christmas Break.

I have sent out a reminder via ASCA's twitter account as well.

Field is now updated and sizable enough for the tournament to run. We're also expecting at least a few more signups before the tournament.

This is a very talented field. I look forward to playing against some very competitive opposition.

Field has been updated. We are currently at a nice number of 10 teams, but have room for more. If the field stays at 10 teams, the format will be a 10 team, 9 game round robin followed by an ADVANTAGED final, if necessary. If the field grows, we will split into pools and do a rebracket after pool play.

I'm proud to say this tournament ran 9 rounds and had teams out before 3:00 (except James Clemens, and Hoover, who were in the final). Congratulations to James Clemens A, who defeated Hoover A 340-310 on the last tossup in the second game of an advantaged final. Full stats should be up no later than tomorrow.

I would also like to congratulate our top 4 individual scorers from the prelims, who were recognized at the tournament.
1st: Sharath Narayan, James Clemens A
2nd: Venu Reddy, Springwood
3rd: Andy Kong, Hoover A
4th: Jack Gutshall, Spain Park

We hope everyone enjoyed the tournament, and we thank all the teams that came. We are always open to any feedback about how to improve our tournaments.

At this time, I would also like to thank our wonderful staff:
Good Hope graduates Krystian Doss, Bailey Brand, Pao Vaughn, and Nick Martin, as well as Spain Park grad Austin Peinhardt for reading and running stats. I would also like to thank current Good Hope Scholars' Bowl members who helped out with scorekeeping, and coach Hulsey for making sure things ran smoothly throughout the day. I also extend my thanks to Hoover coach Josh Rutsky for helping scorekeep/moderate at various points throughout the day.
