NAQT is now accepting writer applications

NAQT will be accepting contract-writer applications between June 1 and August 1. Note that potential writers must have a high school diploma and have turned 18 on or prior to their date of application.

We can use questions in any subject area and at any difficulty level, though we are particularly in need of additional writers of high school and middle school questions. Previous experience writing questions in our style is helpful, but not necessary for acceptance.

NAQT currently pays up to $6.00 per tossup question and up to $4.50 per bonus question accepted by its editors for use in tournaments. The rate depends on the target difficulty of the question and the writer’s experience.
