David Riley Coaches Conference @ NSC - 6/3, 7 p.m.

The Partnership for Academic Competition Excellence is pleased to announce that the David Riley Coaches Conference will be held at this year's National Scholastic Championship on Friday night from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare.

Panelists will be announced in the next week or so. We are planning on having the first hour oriented to information pertaining to coaches, while the second hour will incorporate more of a focus concerning players.

We hope to make MP3s of the conference available again this year.

I don't want to steal Fred's thunder, but I will be on the panel for this conference, at least for the second hour (about improvement)--if anyone has any specific questions or ideas for what myself or other panelists can speak on, please post here or e-mail me.

Jason Flowers, current coach, LASA, three time national champion
Julie Gittings, former coach, State College, eight time national champion
Christopher Gismondi, current coach, Detroit Catholic Central, 2015 PACE NSC Champion
Ben Herman, current coach, Detroit Catholic Central, 2015 PACE NSC Champion
Eric Mukherjee, current University of Pennsylvania player, 2015 ACF Champion
Jacob O'Rourke, current coach, Washington High School (Missouri)
David Reinstein, former coach, New Trier 2007 NAQT Illinois State Champion
Max Schindler, current University of Chicago player, 2013 PACE NSC Champion, 2016 NAQT ICT D1 Champion
Eric Xu, current University of Virginia player, 2015 HSQBRank player of the year

We currently have 13 national championships represented on our panel, with countless other tournament wins. The knowledge of the game represented by these panelists is immeasurable, so any questions you have about any aspect of quiz bowl should be answered.

I hope to announce more participants in the next 24 hours.

I'm very pleased to announce that we've added Jason Flowers, the multiple national championship winning coach of LASA, and Eric Xu, the 2015 HSQBRank Player of the Year, to our panel!
