Quiz Bowl at LSU cordially invites you to attend the Louisiana State University Mike VI Spring Invitational Quiz Bowl Tournament!
Quiz Bowl at LSU has not existed for 5+ years and we're happy to have brought it back. Since we're all relatively new, this will be most of our member's first time hosting. We've been readying ourselves so we don't expect any hitches! One final point, if you have a working buzzer system, please try to bring it. You will be discounted for it and it will ensure the maximum number of rounds can be played at once.

Logistics

Date: April 2nd, 2016
Time: Registration opens at 8:00am, Rounds start at 9:00am
~~~~~Registration will occur in Room 103 Tureaud Hall
Packet: We will be using NAQT Invitational Series #155A
Rules: NAQT rules, without a time limit (20 questions per round)
Rounds: We hope to guarantee 9 or 10 rounds
Lunch: You will have ~45 minutes for lunch at Noon (around Round 6)
~~~~~There are many places to eat just off campus to the north (Five Guys, Chipotle, Poboys, etc.) and to the south (Taco Bell, Sonic, etc.)
~~~~~Please have an idea ready before it's time for lunch to ensure you have time to eat

Cost

$60 for the first team, $50 for any more teams
Minimum $40
Discounts:
-$5 per buzzer system brought (max 2 per school)
-$5 per 75 miles traveled (one way) applied to the first team

Registration will occur in Room 103 Tureaud Hall
There is a moderate sized parking lot across the street from Tureaud Hall

Congratulations to Jesuit A who defeated the undefeated Baton Rouge Magnet A in the final round of the tournament to become the first ever Mike VI Champions!!
Shout out as well to Wesley Swain who averaged 120ppg through the 9 preliminary rounds.
