5th Annual Collins Hill (GA) JV Tournament 2/13/16 (IS-153A)

Collins Hill High School is proud to announce the 5th Annual Collins Hill JV Tournament on Saturday, February 13th, 2016. This tournament will be using set IS-153A from NAQT. All teams are guaranteed at least five preliminary rounds followed by either a rebracketed or a single-elimination playoff (depending on field size). We will initially cap the field at 30 teams but may increase the field to 36 teams depending on interest and the staffing situation.

The format for the tournament will be rounds of 20 tossups with 3 part bonuses. Powers will be used at this tournament and we will use bounceback bonuses. We will not be using interrupt penalties (or negs).

*Each team will play with 5 players at a time with substitutions between rounds and at halftime. Teams will be allowed to play with less than 5 players and schools are encouraged to bring more than one team if there are more than 8 players.

Registration will begin at 8 AM and we hope to start Round 1 at 8:45. Lunch will be served on campus after Round 5. Lunch will be provided for a cost of $5. The entire tournament should be over before 5:00 PM.

The registration fee for the tournament will be $70 for the first team and $60 for each additional team. There is a $5 discount for bring a set of working buzzers (limit 2) and there will be a $10 discount for bringing an experienced reader (limit 2). The registration fee will increase to $80 per team after February 2nd, 2015 unless prior arrangements have been made.
