Great Valley Quiz Bowl Tournament 2014

Great Valley High School is pleased to announce the first ever Great Valley NAQT Quiz Bowl Tournament to be hosted on March 29, 2014 at Great Valley High School in Malvern, PA. We are hoping to field a tournament of 36 teams and will be using IS-129A as the question set. We will be offering food on-site for lunch or teams may explore the option of going to nearby restaurants if they choose. Tournament Facts:
Registration Fee: $75 for first team, $60 for subsequent teams
Registration Discounts: -$10 for buzzer system, -$10 for competent moderators
Minimum Fee (per team—not school): $50
Question Set: IS-129A

This is really awesome that multiple NAQT tournaments are being held in SE Pennsylvania this year, and if I'm available that day I would be glad to help moderate.

Since these are only 30 miles apart, teams should note that this was the same set of questions used in the _JV_ division of Wilmington Charter's November tournament. A student who played in varsity that day and was not exposed to the JV questions should still be fine.

Great Valley's GVQBT was just awarded gold certification by PACE. Thus, the top 20% of our field will qualify for the national high school quiz bowl championship on May 24-25 in Washington, D.C.
