BAAL urges you to seize the day and play in the BAAL Hillsdale Horace Quizbowl tournament on *Sunday*, December 8 @ Hillsdale HS (3115 Del Monte St, San Mateo, CA)

Registration at 9:30 AM, rules meeting to follow. First round at 10:15 AM. We plan to finish by 4PM.

Everyone will play 7-8 games (format: 20/20 with no bounce-backs). We will be using HSAPQ tournament #42.
Player statistics will be kept and awards will be given. Varsity and JV teams will play in separate divisions.

Entry fee:
$80 for first team, $70 for each additional team

Discounts:
-$10 for a buzzer
-$10 for a scorekeeper volunteer
-$15 for a moderator
-$15 per 50 miles traveled (one way)
-$30 if your school played zero QB tournaments during the 2012-2013 school year
Minimum entry fee per team: $10

This is the day after the History Bowl at Moreau Catholic - is no other date (e.g. 12/14, 12/21, 1/4, 1/11) available for this?

We are aware and scheduled this event on the Sunday to avoid conflicts with History Bowl. We have already reserved rooms and announced the event so I don't think changing the date will be feasible at this point.

Running two tournaments on the same weekend isn't really avoiding the conflict, since very few teams (and virtually no coaches) have the stomach for two tournaments on the same weekend. Not happy about this.

Also, there are lots of schools that are also taping Quiz Kids on December 8, including Menlo. Personally, I plan to go to both History Bowl and Quiz Kids that weekend, so it will be quite a hectic couple of days.

Congrats to Palo Alto A which defeated Davis B in a one game final to win the BAAl Horace tournament @ Hillsdale. A big thanks to Hillsdale for hosting.
