The Quizbowl Resource Center

The fifth iteration of the Fall Kickoff Tournament tournament is seeking mirrors for Fall/Winter of 2013.

FKT is written by coaches and former players from around the state of Ohio and is intended to be a set for novice level players. Previous years' questions are posted at http://quizbowlpackets.com/.

The set has twelve rounds of 20/20 and two tiebreaker tossups at the end of each round. The set follows the following distribution per round:

4/4 Literature
4/4 History
4/4 Science
3/3 Fine Arts
2/2 Religion/Philosophy/Social Science
1/1 Mythology
1/1 Geography
1/1 Trash

The mirror fee outside of Ohio is $10 per team.

Also, mirrors have been setup at Hubbard High School in Ohio and at The Ohio State University!

Raleigh Charter High School (NC) will be mirroring FKT on November 9th, 2013.

The Bay Area Academic League will be mirroring FKT on Saturday, October 5th (tentative date still) at the Menlo School in Atherton, CA.

The 1st Fall tournament in Sacramento will be also mirroring FKT on Saturday, September 14th.

The set can be mirrored all year (now through this coming May).

Just spoke with Betsy from Raleigh Charter, and when setting up the LIST mirror, she had forgotten that she had already setup a mirror of FKT with me. They will be using the LIST set that day.

Saint Joseph High School in Indiana will be hosting an FKT mirror on 10/19!

Amador Valley High School will be mirroring FKT on October 26th!

North Kansas City High School (MO) will be mirroring FKT on November 2nd

Brookwood High School will be hosting the 26th Annual BJVSB (Brookwood Junior Varsity Scholars Bowl) on FKT on February 8th!

The Northern California Quizbowl Alliance will be mirroring FKT for their Sacramento Winter Tournament on January 11th!

Chattahoochee will be hosting a middle school tournament using FKT on March 1st!

Jefferson City High School will be hosting a mirror of FKT on April 5th!
