Announcing the GQPA

I'm proud to announce the formation of GQPA, the Georgia Quizbowl Players Association. You can visit our blog here. The primary goal of the GQPA currently is to organize and secure funding for the Georgia NASAT team, but as we receive more input from players, we will be announcing our future plans.

GQPA's mission is to promote the spread of pyramidal quizbowl in Georgia as an enjoyable and educational activity for high school students. It seeks to organize students' efforts to promote quizbowl across the state, and to recognize those students that have made important contributions to quizbowl competition and community.

We are planning on holding a GQPA Championship Tournament in May; the details will be announced in this forum when logistics are more finalized.

The Georgia players that read this forum are encouraged to provide their input, and anyone outside the state is welcome to provide us any advice or support either in this thread or by emailing us at [email protected].
