The University of Waterloo is pleased to announce Southern Ontario Trash Vortex (SOTV), a house-written trash tournament planned for the Winter of 2016. The difficulty level being aimed for is easy-regular, with 2012's TERP II serving as a good example. Note that questions will lean 2000s-and-after, since this is being written by young people for young people. The tournament's production and editing is being spearheaded by Faith Barrett, with contributions being provided by Kira Vimal, Erik Christensen, Ben Paul and others.
The tournament will consist of 12 packets of 20 TUs and 20 bonuses, with a separate set of tiebreaker TUs and bonuses.
The distribution is as follows:
4/4 TV
4/4 Movies
4/4 Music
2/2 Trash lit (including comics)
2/2 Internet
4/4 Other (Sports, Celebria, Trash events, more TV, more Movies, more Music etc.)
This is an open-eligibIlity tournament. We are interested in mirrors, contact me if you'd like to host SOTV! The set will be ready for mirrors by February 6th.
As of writing, 88% of the TUs and 49% of the bonuses have been written. Faith Barrett will provide updates as she writes more.
