Chattahoochee CASE - 3/12/16 (Johns Creek, GA)

Post by ashwin99 »

Chattahoochee High School is pleased to announce the first annual CASE (Chattahoochee Academic Season Ender), a middle school tournament.
Our tournament will be held on March 12, 2016, at Chattahoochee High School:

5230 Taylor Road
Johns Creek, GA 30022

Rules:
We will be using the NAQT MS-17 set; 15% of our field will qualify for the 2016 MSNCT.

We are not planning on any field cap for now. We are planning on having preliminary rounds before lunch, and a single-elimination playoff with the final four playing a round robin. Format is subject to change depending on field size. Trophies/plaques will go to the top 4 teams.

Rounds will have 20 tossups and 20 bonuses per round. We will use powers (15) but no points will be deducted for negs. Only four players are allowed per team. We will use bouncebacks, and substitutes are allowed at the half.

Fee structure:
The cost will be $65 per team, and $50 for each additional team sent. Registration payment can be brought in the day of the tournament or mailed ahead of time. The base registration fee will increase to $75 per team from March 1. There will be a $5 discount for each working buzzer system (limit 2).

Checks should be made out to the Chattahoochee Academic Team and can be mailed to our address.

Registration:
If you are interested in attending, please fill out the registration form here: http://goo.gl/forms/gHdlud9CEW.

Volunteering:
We welcome high schoolers, coaches, or students who would like to come read at our tournament. If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out the form here: http://goo.gl/forms/AWnmBe3ZWh. Volunteers will receive a free lunch and a fun day!

If you have any questions, please post here or email [email protected].
