Michigan Middle School State Championship (MS-14 / March 21)

Academic Team Coaches:

It is my pleasure to announce the 2nd annual Michigan Middle School State Championship Tournament which will be held Saturday, March 21st, 2015 at Detroit Catholic Central High School’s campus located at 27225 Wixom Road, Novi, MI, 48374.

The tournament will be using the NAQT MS-14 set. The questions are intended for middle school players through grade 8. Each game will feature two 9-minute halves. The top finishers will qualify for the NAQT Middle School National Championship Tournament (MSNCT), May 8-10, 2015 in Dallas, TX.

Tournament bracketing and playoff format will be determined once a clearer picture of the size of the field is obtained.

This tournament will be free of charge for all teams who can bring at least one buzzer per two teams. Any teams wishing to register without buzzers will be charged $30 per team.

Congratulations to Detroit Country Day A on winning this year's Michigan Middle School State Championship by defeating Smith A in the finals 400-310

3rd place: U of D Jesuit defeated St. Michael A
5th place: Triumph A defeated All Saints Academy
7th place: Emerson won by forfeit over St. Patrick A
