Registration Open for NC State Tournament

Registration for the NCASA Regional / State Quiz Bowl Tournament opens this Monday, January 19. Middle school and high school divisions will be contested. These tournaments are free and open to all 231 NCASA member schools. Given last year's participation and the growth in NCASA this year, we expect more than 100 teams to compete. Non-member schools may join NCASA to participate in a Regional. The school registration fee is $150 per school plus $0.25 per enrolled student. New schools must complete NCASA school registration by the February 13 tournament registration deadline to be eligible to compete.

The Regional Tournaments are on March 7. The State Final is March 28 hosted by NCSSM in Durham.

Schools must compete at one of six Regional sites to qualify for the State Finals. Regionals will be hosted by the following schools:
- WEST: Hickory HS
- CHARLOTTE AREA: Hickory Ridge MS in Cabarrus County
- TRIAD: High Point Central HS
- TRIANGLE: Cleveland HS in Johnston County
- SANDHILLS: Overhills MS in Harnett County
- NORTHEAST: Site to be determined, likely in Chowan County

Schools may also bring a Junior Varsity team of sixth and seventh or ninth and tenth graders to Regionals.
