Dunbar Bulldog Tournament- Lexington, KY- 11-8-14

The Dunbar Academic Team will be hosting a tournament for middle school teams (grades 6-8) on November 8, 2014. Registration will begin at 8:15 AM, the team meeting for the tournament will begin at 8:40, and tournament play will begin at 9:00.

The cost for the tournament is $60 per team. You can pay on the day of the tournament or send it in beforehand to: PL Dunbar High School, 1600 Man O' War Blvd, Lexington, KY 40513. Please make all checks payable to Paul Laurence Dunbar.

Lunch will be available at Dunbar for just $5 per person. This includes two slices of pizza, a cookie, and a drink.

The question will be house written pyramidal questions that follow KAAC"s content distribution (including computational math). All teams will play five rounds round- robin style in the morning. Based off their morning performance, all teams will be rebracketed and matched with teams that performed similarly.

The questions used at the tournament are also available for mirrors and are appropriate for introductory high school quizbowl play. Some types of reformatting are available without additional cost.
